Born in London, UK, Brian originally trained as a teacher and then as a sport psychologist. Brian worked at the Australian Institute of Sport in the 1980’s, before entering the IT industry in 1989. Brian co-founded AMT-Sybex in London with 3 other people in 1990, and that company grew to have 350 staff and a turnover of A$120M. Brian went from being the one Sales Executive, to Sales Manager, to Sales Director and then Managing Director as the company grew, specialised in selling software and services to asset intensive industries.
AMT-Sybex was acquired by a Times Top 100 company in 2014. Brian moved back to Perth in 2009 and led AMT’s Australian business until that sale. Brian joined K2fly as CEO and Executive Chairman in January 2016 and is now working with colleagues building a solutions’ business from the Perth HQ in Western Australia. K2fly generates revenue by selling its own IP solutions, such as Infoscope, RCubed, Sateva and Decipher to major Tier 1 clients in the Resources’ sector.
Nic has over 25 years of experience in enterprise software business and professional services, with more than 20 years in global, APAC and regional senior leadership roles across Asset Intensive, Global Supply Chains and Financial Services.
Nic has spent the last 15 years focused on the Resources industry in public (ASX and TSX) private and PE funded companies. Before joining K2fly in the role of CCO, Nic was Managing Director and Vice President of Gemcom (now Dassault), Regional VP APAC Mining at Mincom (now ABB), Global Director of Solutions at Snowden Mining, founder of Resource Governance International (RGI) and CEO of Decimal.
At K2fly, Nic is responsible for driving the commercial interests of the K2fly business, which has experienced substantial global growth over the past two years. Nic has a BA (Econs.) from UWA and a Post Grad in Sustainability Leadership at Cambridge University. Nic has also undertaken Graduate Studies in Sustainability at NYU Stern, is GRI Qualified, a Graduate of AICD and a Member of AUSIMM.
Anthony is a highly respected business and advisory professional with extensive cross-functional experience within mining, oil and gas, agriculture, health, government and telecommunications sectors. He is experienced in client services, strategy, product management, project management, process improvement and executive level leadership.
Anthony delivers value to businesses through thorough research, meticulous analysis, reporting and stakeholder engagement, and managing robust business processes and effective operational performance. He utilises his experience in information and strategy analysis, project delivery and execution, full cycle project management experience with the ability and capacity to manage multiple projects to lead and mentor teams.
As Chief Product Officer at K2fly, Anthony drives product development and product marketing across the technical sales and delivery functions. Anthony holds a Masters Degree in GIS.
Heath brings over 30 years of experience in reconciliation, Resource and Mining Geology, Mine Value Chain Reconciliation, and Mining and Reserves reporting. Heath has worked across a variety of commodities including gold, iron ore, mineral sands, silver, nickel, diamonds, and coal. He also has five years of experience as a Competent Person.
Beyond mining expertise, Heath also provides knowledge on business areas such as project management, strategic planning, mentoring, change management and data management. Before joining K2fly, Heath served as a Mine Geologist in the Goldfields of WA, a Consultant Geologist for BHP Engineering, a Resource Geologist and Competent Person for BHP Billiton, Group Manager of Mining Engineering and Geology at Golder Associates, and Lead Mining Geosciences and Reconciliation and Anglo American.
At K2fly, Heath drives our mining solutions and client relationships, bringing his extensive sector experience to help solve industry issues and challenges. Heath has a BSc (Geology) from UWA and a Diploma in Frontline Management from AIM and is currently completing a BA (Phil).
Before joining K2fly Mark Forster was the founder and managing director of mining technology and consulting company Sateva.
Mark has significant experience in the design, construction and implementation of large complex systems for large mining organisations, including Rio Tinto Iron Ore, BHP Billiton Iron Ore, BMA coal, Rio Tinor Exploration and Hamersley Iron.
Prior to founding Sateva, Mark worked at Datamine and Snowden. As well as strong technology, systems and development skills, Mark also has extensive experience in the sales of software solutions. At K2fly, Mark is responsible for driving the development of K2fly’s expanding technology solution suite to answer the needs of clients. Mark has a B.App.Sc degree in Mathematics and Computing from Curtin University, and post graduate qualifications in Data Science and Machine Learning from Harvard University and the University of Washington.
A talented professional with 15+ years’ experience providing business process, consulting, solution development and analysis for large scale Utilities, Rob heads up K2fly’s consulting services focusing on asset management.
Rob has client and technical facing skills, coupled with extensive knowledge of Asset & Works Management practices and their application within software. Rob has delivered solutions in Electricity, Rail, Telecoms and Water sectors, with experiencing including the implementation/optimisation/upgrading of ERP systems (Ellipse, Maximo), mobility solutions (Kony, Fieldreach, ABB Ellipse Mobility), IoT consulting, and leadership and mentoring.
Rob has a degree in Geographical Information Services from Curtin University.
David is responsible for building K2fly’s partnerships as an accredited SAP and ESRI partner. He has over 25 years of experience in enterprise software and sales leadership, having worked across multiple regions, including Europe, APAC, ANZ and global roles.
Most recently, David spent 16 years at IBM leading a broad range of Enterprise Software Sales teams and divisions, as well as working closely with IBM’s global business partners. David has strong skills in strategic leadership, complex sales and solutions, backed by experience and insights across global markets, organisational operations and business strategies. David has an MBA from Bond University.
